Technological transformation is an increasing challenge for managers seeking security, predictability and strong control. Uncertainty and the challenges of crisis situations, such as pandemics, have caused the greatest stress for both workers and employers. Successful management of these situations has been and will continue to be dependent not only on adaptive capacity. It is the individual - as a manager and as a business owner - who is measured in terms of how he or she copes with difficulties and how much he or she passes them on to employees, and how he or she manages his or her own anxieties and theirs. These effects are already far-reaching, but many managers have focused only on the current, fire-fighting solutions. These organisational psychological effects have been mapped in this study.
